Definition of 'Dealing with criticism':

Dealing with criticism is the ability to act appropriately in a communicative situation. We distinguish between dealing actively and dealing passively with criticism.

Dealing actively with criticism is the ability to communicate one’s opinion about others in an appropriate, emphatic way. Dealing passively with criticism is the ability to receive others’ opinion about oneself appropriately and to cope with it decisively.
